The first E stands for ENVIRONMENT. In the Parable of the Sower, the result of being planted on good ground brings
26 Is It Worth It?forth fruit; some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. The right environment maximizes your growth.2 Even
David had to be near the mulberry trees to find victory in a battle. We can’t expect good growth if we’re in the wrong
place.3 Unfortunately, too many stay out of church and then wonder why they struggle with
defeat.
30 It’s Him or Me?The letter F stands for FEAR. Too many Christians are constantly bound by fear, but the
bible teaches us that God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and
of a sound mind. Fear has torment and it will keep you from going forward and stepping
out in faith.4 Don’t allow fear to have dominion over you. Don’t allow fear to defeat you.
The second E stand for EXCUSES. People who make excuses always wrestle with
defeat. When the invitation was given to the great supper, they
all made excuses, and none of those men tasted the supper.5
The A is for ATTITUDE. When Philip told Nathanael
that they had found the messiah. Nathanael dismissed the
possibility without consideration.6 He was ready to accept
defeat before fighting the battle. Don’t allow a bad attitude
to hinder your belief in God. Know that He is able to do exceedingly
and abundantly above and beyond what we ask or think. Be encouraged! If God
be for you who then can be against you?
And lastly the T which stands for TRUTH. Now more than ever, we need Truth
to overcome the spirit of defeat. Too many Elijahs are ready to die, when there is an
Elisha out there hungry for the anointing.7 And too many like Elijah think they are
the only one left, but God will always have a remnant.
Using these six principals, we can overcome the enemy. We don’t have to be
defeated. We can have victory.
