[guestpost]I have several unique testimonies from a variety of ladies lined up for Testimony Tuesdays, but I’m posting my own personal testimony first. God has done so much for me. There isn’t room to list everything, so this is the brief version. I hope this blesses you in some way.[/guestpost]
All my life I’ve dreamed of finding Happily-Ever-After, but from childhood my life has been messed up. I didn’t realize how messed up until my father was arrested for rape and incest. At the time I was 41. I had previously dealt with the emotional baggage that came with the abuse from an uncle, but there were other horrible memories I’d kept hidden—even from myself.
When evil strikes, it strikes hard. In addition to the nightmares of my past, the last 3 years have been touched by evil in ways I hope you will never experience. My stepson was brutally murdered. My father as mention above was arrested for rape and incest. The victim was my niece. At the lowest point in my life, the people I counted on the most let me down. I learned a tough lesson: God alone never fails, because people are human. It has taken me a while to work past the hurt. My healing isn’t complete yet, but I’m growing stronger in God every day.
I rely heavily on prayer. I love reading the promises that God has for me in His word. I’ve never walked closer to Jesus. God called me deeper into the ministry, and has blessed me greatly. He has given me joy in the midst of sorrow.
[shareable]God is the source of my happiness. Not the circumstances or the people around me.[/shareable]
I have suffered horrible things in this life. Before I surrendered to God, I committed ugly sins against others. Especially when I lashed out in anger.
But I know for certain that God loves me. I have a place in Christ’s Kingdom. And even though this world is filled with evil, if I live each day for Jesus, I can live happily-ever-after.
And so can you.
No matter what you’ve done, what you’ve suffered, or who says you’re not worthy. Jesus offers a better life. It won’t be easy and you will face hardships and adversity, but in the midst of it all you can have love, joy, and a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Because Jesus died on a cross, we now can choose the kind of life we want to live. In this life and the eternal life to come, we can choose the torments of hell or heavenly, Happily-Ever-After. So I urge you to join Christ’s kingdom today. Let him wash you in his precious blood. If you live by His blueprint (The Bible), you can be happy. Even if hell surrounds you.
This blog is intended to help you along the way.
I’ll try my best to teach you how to understand God’s blueprint. I’ll point you to the King’s throne where you’ll find strength. I’ll use parables and the testimonies of others to encourage you when you want to give up. And when our King returns, we’ll walk through the gate of Heaven.
If I can find happiness in Christ, you can too.
I hope that this blog will bless you. If you’d like to receive email notifications of new testimonies and stories posted, use the sign-up box found at the top right of this page.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. ~ Revelation 12:11
