A Holy Ghost testimony by Tyler Chastain.[featured-image single_newwindow=”false”][guestpost]This testimony was written several years ago. Today, Tyler Chastain and his wife pastor Revival Worship Center in Demopolis, Alabama. I am happy to report he is still full of the Holy Ghost.[/guestpost]

When I was thirteen, my parents separated, and my grandfather passed away due to lung cancer. I was broken and torn. I had no peace or joy.

One night in Youth Services, Hannah Hunter (Walley) and Alicia Butts gave a devotion on storms. Oh, how the Holy Ghost filled that little room. I was praying in front of the library, in a corner pouring my heart out to God when Matthew Morris began to pray for me. Before I knew what was happening, I felt peace and comfort wash over my soul like I had never felt before. As I continued to pour my heart out to my Lord and Savior, my prayers began to sound different. Through my tears, I heard myself speaking in an unknown language as my pain and confusion was washed away by peace and comfort. The depth of this peace and comfort was indescribable and real. There were no traces of pain, no thoughts of confusion and sorrow. I was amazed at His grace and mercy and that He would send me a gift such as this.

My life has never been the same since. As I grew older and learned the importance of the Holy Ghost, I began to explore the depths of exactly what my Lord had put inside me. I discovered a love like I had never felt or experienced.

When I read the Word, it came alive and revealed things to me.

Church services weren’t the same. I could no longer just sit there. Something within me would rise up, and I could not sit still. I’d have to run, or clap my hands, or give praises unto my king. Messages gripped me like never before as God began to speak to my soul.

I vividly remember times during an altar service God would lead me to tell someone something, or to go lay hands on someone, or to do something specific. I would wonder, “Is this you, God?” Soon, I would get the answer when someone else would do what I had just felt. Or a wave of misery would overcome me until either I did it or prayed through for disobeying God.

There are times the Holy Ghost has taken over me as I prayed for someone, and I have no clue what I said or did. I felt the greatest joy knowing that my Savior was using me to encourage or change someone’s life.

[shareable]I wish I could put into words the feeling of being lost in the Holy Ghost. ~ Tyler Chastain[/shareable] I wish I could put into words the feeling of being lost in the Holy Ghost. You don’t have a care in the world. It doesn’t matter what’s going on around you.

You are in the presence of the King. As He speaks to you and shows you things it’s as if He dropped you into His arms. You talk with Him from your heart, but it’s in tongues that you can’t control. You have no control over your body as He pours into you. Your flesh melts away as He floods you with love, and grace, and wisdom, and knowledge, and healing, and compassion, and understanding.

There is no comparable experience or any way to adequately describe it. I think one of the most wonderful experiences in the Holy Ghost is feeling the power of God come over you to work miracles, or healings, or to give someone the touch from God that they need.

Feeling that power well up within you is beyond words. I wish I could adequately describe everything that you can feel in the Holy Ghost, but I know I haven’t experienced all He has to offer yet. I am always growing and discovering more depth and amazement in the Holy Ghost.

I pray that He continues to fill me until I am as full of Him as possible.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. ~ Acts 1:8
